Thinking about BMI
ちょっと、英語にチャレンジしてみました。拙い英語ですが。💦
A few people have asked me if Brain Machine Interface is helpful to my disability recently, and I'd like to share my opinion with you, which is not so positive. I've been interested in BMI, and how it works. A couple of months ago, I watched a TV documentary program about BMI and learned that BMI usually captures cranial nerve signals from the surface of the human brain, where motor function occupies.
The patient who was using BMI in the TV program has Cervical spine injury and has no speech impairment. This means that his brain has no damage, and good and healthy signals can be collected from the surface.
However, my brain was damaged. I guess the signal at the surface can be influenced by Cerebral Palsy and has lots of errors. So the current technology of BMI might not be useful for Cerebral Palsy. This is what I thought. I might not be right. But i think I need to wait one decade or more.
My idea is not so positive, but I hope that my description above does not sound too negative to you.
